Who We Are
Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea is a fellowship of Baptists in Papua New Guinea. The Baptist Union is a member of Baptist World Alliance, Asia-Pacific Baptist Federation, PNG Council of Churches, PNG Church Leaders Council, and Evangelical Alliance Churches of PNG. Structurally, it is divided into four unions under the main body. It was established as a national organisation to unify the work of the Baptist churches within these provinces, Sandaun, Enga, Western Highlands and Eastern Highlands Province and operate to support health, education, community development and pastoral needs of Baptist adherents and community members in PNG.
We reach the unreached
through our programs and projects
For almost five decades, the Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea has reached into some of the most remote communities of Papua New Guinea to provide services in education, health, social, disaster response, advocating for women and youth, and other humanitarian support, apart from establishing churches. Through its various programs and projects managed under each respective departments, the Baptist Union of PNG has established many schools, health and social services, and brought developments to marginalized communities in the Highlands Region and Min Area of Sandaun Province. The organization has been through many challenges, thick and thin. But by the grace of God, and the support from our great partners, we are able to do what we do. And that is to reach out to the unreached communities of Papua New Guinea.
